PRISCILLA COSTELLO, M.A., Dipl. CAAE, is an educator, speaker, and writer with a life-long interest in Shakespeare and esoteric philosophy. A career teaching English literature for over 30 years and a professional astrological practice also for over 30 years has given her a deep appreciation of Shakespeare along with the ability to synthesize the literary and the astrological.

She has spoken widely internationally, and written numerous articles and reviews for astrological journals, Gnosis magazine, and the Urania Trust (www.uraniatrust.org/articles), and contributed to The Book of Symbols (Taschen, 2010). Her piece “Ladder to Labyrinth: The Spiritual and Psychological Dimensions of Astrology” was reprinted in The Inner West: An Introduction to the Hidden Wisdom of the West (Tarcher/Penguin, 2004.

She has a B.A. from Wellesley College and a double prize-winning M.A. (on religious philosophy and Jungian psychology). One prize was the Master’s Scholar Award from the Northeastern Association of Graduate Schools for the outstanding Master’s Degree of the year in the northeastern quadrant of the U.S. and Canada.

She is the author of The Weiser Concise Guide to Practical Astrology (2008), a unique introduction to astrology linking it to psychology, religion, and esoteric wisdom. Now she is celebrating the publication of her second book, Shakespeare and the Stars: the Hidden Astrological Keys to Understanding the World’s Greatest Playwright.
